06 WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE A SESSION?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. This gives me the opportunity to offer the time to someone else and allows us to rearrange your appointment without any charge. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or if a session is missed without notice, the full session fee will apply.
07 Can other people join the sessions?
If possible, it’s best to do the sessions with your partner/spouse. This way I can understand what it’s like for each of you because you may experience your child’s behaviour in different ways. It also ensures you have a united front and are both helping the child in the same way.
If you have booked a home visit, then it is really helpful if any relevant family members are present, such as partner/spouse, siblings.

10 What are your qualifications?
I’ve been working as a Speech & Language Therapist for over 30 years, specialising in working with autistic children, those with ADHD and social communication difficulties and also working with deaf children. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Communication Studies (Speech & Language Therapy) and a Masters Degree in Special Needs. I have a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Clinical Skills. I have studies attachment theory at the Neufeld Institute and I am an Advanced Practitioner in Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS).
I have received many awards for my work supporting families, including The Welsh Woman of the Year Award and An Outstanding Achievement Award. I have papers published in peer reviewed journals.
My most important qualification is that I have an autistic son (with a PDA profile) who was diagnosed as a teenager. I really struggled to manage his extremely challenging behaviour and violent outbursts growing up. So, I know and understand what it’s like. He was the reason I trained in the developmental attachment approach.
